Opeth have to be one of the most underrated prog metal bands of all time, prog-death-metal to be excact laced with bits of ambience, jazz, classical guitar and only a taste of cookie monster vocals: certainly alot smarter than their death metal compatriots
Their ninth album, Watershed has just been released, the first to feature drummer Martin Axenrot and guitarist Fredrik Åkesson. There is also a special edition version includes three bonus tracks, a bonus DVD with a 5.1 surround sound mix of the entire album, video content featuring rehearsals, and studio footage as well as expanded artwork.
The album entered the Finnish charts at #1, the Aussie charts at #7 ", the UK charts at #34, the Dutch charts at #14 and the Japanese Oricon charts at #15. "
The album also contans a cover of Robin Trower's Bridge of Sighs
