Krautrock to New Wave But Where Are We Now: Wonky Techno

http://www.planet-mu.com/image/artists/LandstrummPress1++.jpg

In the last 10 days or so we have been exploring the world of Krautrock and how it turned into New Wave in the 80's. A journey that takes us from Ash Ra Tempel to Kraftwerk to Gary Numan and Data Rock.

Where are we now, nearly 40 years after Kraftwerk got together ? How about Wonky Techno !

Wonky techno is a style of techno music that is often distorted, stuttering, broken and warped, but still good for dancing

The scene is fairly small but growing, especially in London, Brighton, Glasgow and Berlin. Berlin, of course brings us full circle

Have a listen; things really havent changed all that much
