Ted Nugent Wannabe Joe Lynn Turner Heads Rock Supergroup to Celebrate 9/11 in Iraq

Well, I think it's clear who vocalist Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple/Rainbow/Yngwie Malmsteen), bassist Phil Soussan (Ozzy Osbourne), guitarist Carlos Cavazo (Quiet Riot) and Simon Wright (ACDC, Dio) will be voting for this year.

They are currently in Iraq for a special concert to be held on September 11, 2008 and will debut a new song, BATTLEFIELDS, inspired by the war.

Big Noize founder and Ex-Ozzy Osbourne bassist/songwriter Phil Soussan sees no conflict in celebrating September 11 in a country that really had nothing to do with the whole Twin Towers attack.

"For us to play on this day is vitally important and a privilege, as it remains a landmark in our history and a tribute to those who have been lost and wronged. 9-11 marked the tragic loss of so many innocent people and the scars on thousands more who grieve their losses. When we said 'Never to forget' we must mean that every 9-11 is equally important, be it the first one or the hundred and first one."

This gig could only be improved by a special appearance from Ted Nugent !
