"I Can't Tell You Why" is a song from the The Long Run. It was a Top 10 hit in April of 1980, reaching #8. Yes it's eighties-ish, but it's classic Eagles, smooth, West-Coast. A relaxing masterpiece of country-rock.
The band would soon break up for 12 years or so (until Hell Froze Over) due to tensions between Frey and Felder.
This song proved that despite the pop leanings of 'Heartache Tonight' the band could still what they started out doing so well
