Here's another great album from the proto-metal genre, one of many bands we have featured that help explain doom and stoner rock ala Kyuss
Night Sun were a German heavy progressive rock band who only released this one album, but it was a killer. Bruno Schaab's vocals sounded very similar to Ian Gillan's Child in Time or Robert Plant
While they sometimes sound like Deep Purple, however, they avoided some of Purple's more boring moments: their sudden shifts of rhythm structures, guitar-with-organ riffing style and some studio effects means this album is definitely not one to be missed.

Anyone who hasn't heard this should. It's as simple as that. Forget these bad bands nowadays and delve deep.
I just ordered this one. Hard to find, but I believe you and Hatter that it'll be worth it. It'll be a great add to the proto-metal report. Thanks for the heads-up.
