British mega-band Def Leppard will come to Australia for the first time since 1992, starting in Perth this October 31, to promote "Songs From the Sparkle Lounge". The first single from their new album, 'Nine Lives', with Tim McGraw, hit 1 at US and UK. The album has reached #5 on the US Billboard chart, their 11th consecutive US Top 20 album.
They will, of course, also be playing 'Pour Some Sugar On Me', 'Love Bites', 'Rocket', 'Rock of Ages' 'Armageddon It', 'Let's Get Rocked' and 'Photograph',
Cheap Trick will also be joining them. The four original members Rick Nielson (guitar), Tom Petersson (bass), Robin Zander (vocals/rhythm guitar) and Bun E. Carlos (drums) are still touring together after 30 years.
Synth-rock newcomers The Galvatrons, from Melbourne will serve as support

Never saw Def Leppard, though I interviewed them back in the 80's. Saw Cheap Trick around the same time at the New York State Fair in Syracuse...what fun! Interested to know what they're like today. Music Junkie at Fusion 45
