Who Loves Album Cover Artist Roger Dean ?

Image:Relayer front cover.jpg

Roger Dean is one of the most well known album cover artists there has ever been, as famous as the stars he paints for, his other-worldly landscapes have graced the covers of Osibisa, Yes, Asia, Atomic Rooster, Budgie, Uriah Heep and many more.

His first ever was Yes's Fragile (he also designed their bubble logo), a figure that he felt mirrored the surrealism and flow of their music.

In recent years he has turned to architecture, particularly beautiful eco-houses. He also paints the festival logo every year for NEARfest, the prog rock festival held in the States.

This year, by the way, June 20, 21 & 22, it features Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Liquid Tension Experiment, Fish, Peter Hammill, Synergy, echolyn, Discipline, Radio Massacre International, Mörglbl, and Koenji Hyakkei.

Here's a few more of his prize creations
