Wow, so many to chose from ! Here is our list of the top 50 live albums of all time. There are a few unusual choices, #2, for example, but it is one of the most amazing vocal perfomances ever. I have to say I think you screwed up the Grand Funk album. Caught in the act was a good album but it never really captured the rawness and exuberance like the "Live Album" of 1970 (5 years earlier). Other than that you've only left out 2 great albums: "Santana - Moonflower" and "Pink Floyd - Delicate sound of thunder or Pulse" which are a couple of my faves but you've managed to catch all my others so I'll let it slide.

Cheers

PS: as my nick 'BlakDog' was named after both a pet and the Zep track you could've rated theirs a little higher than 26th.

Oh and were you referring to the "Deluxe" version of the Who - Live at Leeds? Is this why it came in 12th AND 25th? Once for each disc of the deluxe version?

Cheers

I can't believe you omitted Little Feat's "Waiting for Columbus"! That is a perfect live album, with various and sundry styles, moods and emotions exemplified. Not to mention the incredible rhythm section of Kenny Gradney and Richie Hayward laying it down for the sublime funk of Lowell George, Billy Payne and Paul Barrere. Jeez!

My bad. I see Waiting for Columbus near the bottom. Sorry about that.

Can't believe you left The Band off the list! In my opinion the greatest live band of all times.

Top 5

1)The Band "Rock of Ages"
2)Bob Dylan "Hard Rain"
3)Dylan and The Band "Before the Flood"
4)Fleetwood Mac "The Dance"
5)Pink Floyd "Pulse"

Now you have to go out and buy UFO Strangers In The Night. Listen to that album and you will know what a great live album is.

Cannot believe UFO's double live, Strangers in the Night did not make the list. It is simply amazing!
