Van Halen Back on the Road: Rescheduled Tour Dates April 19 to June 2 2008

Do you remember when you first heard Van Halen 1, when 'Running with the Devil', the opening track, made you temporarily put your Hendrix and Sabbath records down and entertain the idea that, as the 80's approached there might still be something exciting to listen to.

I was only 13 but remember it well, plus my mum sang along to "You Really Got Me' and I wondered why she had heard Van Halen before me.

The band has been through many ups and down since that day, an incredible 30 years ago, including the replacement of David Lee Roth with Sammy Hagar.

While this combination has worked fans were astounded in late 2006 that rumours of David's return to the band were true

The tour of this classic line-up commenced in September 2007 in North Carolina but some dates were postponed due to Eddie's health

The band have now announced that they will restart the tour April 19 in Las Vegas and play 20 more shows finishing June 2 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
