Paul Kossoff Back Street Crawler Release Remastered and Extended March 17 2008

In 1969 Paul Rodgers, Paul Kossoff, Andy Fraser and Simon Kirke formed the band Free. The were only teenagers at this time (Andy was only 15) but they were one of the definitive bands of the Blues Explosion of the period, making it big time with Fire and Water Released in 1970.

Kossoff would become the least fortunate member of the band after their break up in 1972. Rodgers, of course, went on to form Bad Company with Kirke. Fraser became a highly sought after songwriter for Joe Cocker, Robert Plant, Rod Stewart, Paul Young and more.

Kossoff, however, was less fortunate; he was to die in 1976, on a commercial aeroplane from drug related heart failure at the tender age of 26.

He released only one solo album after the demise of Free, Back Street Crawler that helped cement him as one of the best blues-rock guitarists of the 70's. This album has now been remastered and expanded with 15 tracks, the majority of which have never been heard before.
