John Hiatt New Album "Same Old Man" Release May 27 2008

John Hiatt's may have a reputation as a 'wannabe Bruce Springsteen' but that is only for those who have never taken the time to listen to the quality of his music

The title of 'the American Elvis Costello' or ' one of America's great songwriters' is more appropriate, encapsulating his 30 year history of writing intelligent and emotional songs.

His songs have been covered by many, including Biddy Guy, Joe Cocker and Patty Griffin, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, BB King, Iggy Pop, Three Dog Night and The Neville Brothers.

Many of these were collected on Rhino Records Love Gets Strange: The Songs of John Hiatt (1993)

New West Records will release his first studio album in 4 years, 'Same Old Man' May 27 2008.

Kenneth Blevins will play on on drums, Patrick O’Hearn on bass,Luther Dickinson on guitar and mandolin and John’s daughter, Lilly Hiatt, will sing harmony on the songs “Love You Again” and “What Love Can Do.”
