Humble Pie Remastered Debut 'As Safe as Yesterday Is" Release April 28 2008

Humble Pie were a popular ‘supergroup’ of the late 1960's and 1970’s, consisting of a stellar line up: Steve Marriot (lead singer and guitarists of one of the best British Invasion Bands, The Small Faces), Peter Frampton (originally from the Herd with massive celebrity to come with Frampton Comes Alive) and Greg Ridley (of the obscure twin-keyboard brilliance of Spooky Tooth).

There are many claims to fame for the band, including being the first band to be referred to as ‘heavy metal’ in the press. Humble Pie, were, however, far from heavy metal, blending rock with soul and blues to create one of the most dynamic live acts of their time (check out the live album ‘Rock On’ from 1971).

A Remastered Version of their debut album "As Safe as Yesterday Is' is due for release April 28 2008, with two bonus tracks; the hit 'Natural Bornn Boogie' and the b-side 'Wrist Job'(what a name for a song !) plus an excellent booklet written by Chris Welch

If you like heavy blues, pastoral folk, hard rock and pop all mixed in this is a brilliant album from 1969
