Rock Revival's Top Twenty Lesser Known Covers

I don't know about you , but I am addicted to rock cover songs, I can't get enough, but only when the covers are different to the originals (Tesla, are you listening !). The covers below are pretty incredible in my book, they add something to the original and in many cases (please don't hang me) are better than the original.

1. My Girl/Four Tops: by John Hiatt and Loudon Wainwright (georgeous)

2. Come as You Are/Nirvana: by Charlie Hunter Trio (jazz)

3. Gotta Serve Somebody/Bob Dylan : by Mavis Staples (better at Gospel than Dylan)

4. Big Yellow Taxi 2007: by Joni Mitchell (covers herself)

5. Season of the Witch/Donovan: by Electric Flag (Vanilla Fudge and Brian Auger also do it)

6. Honky Tonk Woman/Rolling Stones: by Elton John

11. Cars/Gary Numan): by Fear Factory

12. Cat Scratch Fever/Ted Nugent: by Pantera

13. Point of No Return/Kansas: by Vanden Plas (adds a punch)
