Jethro Tull 40th Anniversary Tour plus New Album Due in 2008

Now we know we are getting old ! One of the greatest prog bands of the 70’s, Jethro Tull are celebrating their 40th anniversary with a massive tour.
According to their website http://www.j-tull.com/, Ian Anderson says it will be complete with ‘a full laser light show, a dancing troupe of honed and bronzed young men fresh from the Madonna boudoir, 60 foot inflatable flute-phallus on stage, Chinese acrobats and fireworks nightly – and – live prostate examinations for lucky competition-winners during the concert intermission’.

Well maybe not that old!

In actual fact their will be special invited guests and a set-list from the first 3 albums (as they made the transition from blues band to prog band). That means This Was (1968), Stand Up (1969) and Benefit (1970).

The tour will go from April to August, after they finish 3 Russian dates, sadly all in the UK. They then head off for Switzerland, Germany and UK, no Aussie dates of course!

A new Tull album is due out this summer, their first new studio recording in eight years
