Confusion Over Led Zeppelin's Appearance at Bonnaroo 2008

Apparently, esteemed rock magazine NME has erroniously reported that Led Zeppelin have been booked for the June Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in the States. Bonnaroo is the home of the Jam Band phenomenon, the festival that stars the inheritors of the Grateful Dead legacy, Jam Bands like Phish, Goverment Mule and Dave Matthews.

The line up for this year was posted on the Bonnaroo site a couple of days ago, including Lez Zeppelin, the all girl Led Zep cover band. It seems that Lez has been misread ad Led, even major news outlets can be sloppy. Oh Dear ! Internet mayhem has resulted from this gaffe !

Controversially, Metallica are the headline act, quite a departure for this chilled out festival: Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson and Kayne West (what ?) are also booked. Metalheads and b-boys meet the hippies: Time for another Altamont ?
