Black Crowes New Release 'Warpaint' Due March 4 / World Tour Starts Downunder

The Black Crowes are one of the best blues-rock bands around, who, along with Government Mule are keeping the blues alive in the Jamband scene: they have toured with The Grateful Dead, The Who, The Stones and ACDC

They start their world tour in Australia on March 24 where they headline our best Festival, East Coast Blues and Roots, 20 days after the release of their first studio album in 7 Years, ‘Warpaint’.

Mavis Staples, Charlie Musselwhite, Don McLean, Buddy Guy, John Butler Trio and many more will be there too !

They will perform Warpaint it in it’s entirety in the US between March 4 and 20 on a special run of ‘One Night Only’ shows.

According to rollingstone.com fans won’t be dissapointed; it’s strong blues-driven rock, darker than previous albums, but still sounds like the Allman Brothers mixed the Kinks and Derek and the Dominoes.

Luther Dickinson of the excellent North Mississippi Allstars joins in for this album, playing beautiful slide guitar.
