Isle of White Festival Set to be a Knock-Out June 2008
The Isle of White Festival, 1970, is said at the time to be one of the largest human gatherings in the world, bigger even than Woodstock.
Dylan, Free, Joni Mitchell (who also missed Woodstock despite penning a song of the same name), the Moody Blues, Jethro Tull, etc. Led the British Parliament to pass the 'Isle of Wight Act' preventing gatherings of more than 5,000 people on the island without a license
Isle of White was revived in 2002 and since then The Rolling Stones, Donovan, Ray Davies, Robert Plant, David Bowie, The Who, R.E.M., Coldplay, The Proclaimers and Bryan Adams have all perfomed there
This year's installment, June 13-15 it set to be a knock-out
