AC/DC's Album Downloaded 400,000 Times Before Release October 20

It seems AC/DC's "Black Ice" was downloaded 100,000 times a day this week before its official release October 20, a total of 400,000 downloads

AC/DC was second in the world until now in record sales, with 26.4 million albums making them second to the Beatles

The official album will only be released at Wal-Mart; they have guaranteed they will sell a massive 2.5 million; their last album "Stiff Upper Lip" sold 940,000.

AC/DC Kicks Miley Cyrus's Butt Down-Under !!!

Undercover News has just reported the obvious: reports that AC/DC is more popular than Miley Cyrus

Last week, aussies bought 1025 more AC/DC albums than Miley even though she actually has the number one CD.

Six AC/DC albums reside in the ARIA Top 50 currently including TNT, Dirty Deeds, Highway To Hell, Who Made Who, The Razors Edge and Stiff Upper Lip.

Also Business Review Weekly's annual list of the Top 50 Australian Entertainers was released this Saturday and AC/DC was among the top artists with an estimated $12.0 Million (AU) in gross earnings last fiscal year.

Thats eighth place on this year's list

BRW also predicts that their new album will make themthe top grossing act for 2009 due to the upcoming release of Black Ice and the band's subsequent world tour.

What Did Bon Scott Do Before AC/DC ? The Wonder of 'Fraternity'

Well, it's aussie rock week here on Rock Revival and I have a real treat for you, a surprising look at Bon Scott is a early prog band called Fraternity (sounds alot like Uk band, Family).

Hard to imagine this serious young man would go on to be the wild boy of rock and roll !

Fraternity were an Australian rock band active in the early 1970s. They are notable mainly for Scott's presence, Jimmy Barnes would later replace him when he joined AC/DC.

Fraternity were formed in 1970 by some members of the recently-split Levi Smith Clefs. They were without a regular vocalist until Fraternity's bass player Bruce Howe decided to call upon Bon

Fraternity released two albums and a few singles, which enjoyed moderate success.

However, an attempt to find success in the UK was not fruitful and in early 1973 the band changed its name to Fang. By mid-1973 the group had stalled and gradually disintegrated, and the members returned to Australia.

Some members formed the loosely-knit Mount Lofty Rangers with whom Bon Scott recorded a couple of songs before being seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in early 1974. When he had recovered, Scott joined AC/DC and Fraternity later reformed with a different line-up and continued until about 1976.
