Back in the 60's sanitised lounge versions of rock songs were pretty awful but in retrospect what was uncool back then can be pretty cool now
The coolest lounge act ever was Big Jim Sullivan, best known as Lord Sitar, one of the most "in-demand" studio musicians in the 1960's in the UK
He played with Tom Jones (also groovy), befriended Elvis..........there are many other chapters in his story (I'll be featuring him on next Mondays Untold Rock Stories at WNEW.com) but for now....
