Gryphon were certainly one of the most unusual and most talented prog rock bands of the 70's.
Their influence was medievil and rennaisance english music, complete with original intruments, like Krumhorn, basoon and mandolin, plus electric guitar, bass and drums.
They produced 5 albums between 1973 and 1977 until they were killed off by punk, like so many others.
Well it seems they re reunited !!!
On 15th September 2008, Gryphon announced via their website that a new album was in production "albeit Slowly",
A reunion concert was originally planned for this year but has been postponed until 2009 due to lack of venue availability.
