Remembering Delaney and Bonnie and Friends (incl. Duane Allman and Eric Clapton)

Delaney & Bonnie was a fantastic husband and wife roots group of the late 60's and early 70's, known actually as Delaney and Bonnie and friends due to the stellar cast that tended to appear with them. Particularly astonishing is the album MOtel Shot (1970), an impromptu gospel jam with the likes of Leon Russell, Duane Allman, Dave Mason, John Hartford, Clarence White, Gram Parsons, and Joe Cocker.

They have actually had a comeback of sorts lately, although not as a couple. Delaney just put out a solo album, A New Kind of Blues (2008) and appeared on the incredible Jerry Lee Lewis's Last Man Standing album (2006). Bonnie's most recent album is most recent album is 2005's Roots, Blues & Jazz.

Anyway I will shut up now and let them do the talking (singing) !!!!
