Before Foghat: The Blues of Savoy Brown

Savoy Brown is one of the great under rated blues-rock bands of the late 60's and 70's, due perhaps to their debut as late as 1969, a year thought of as the last gasp of the massive blues explosion that came from the UK.

Savoy Brown persevered in producing 4 albums of boogie-blues-rock until they bacame popular in the US, with Hellhound train being their bigest record.

Three members went on to superstrdom when they left the band to form Foghat, others would go on to Fleetwood mac, Black Sabbath, Chicken Shack, UFO, proving that they were a band with very high quality musicians
