Who Loves Keith Jarrett ? Jazz Mystic

Here's another one of those Rock Revival posts that has nothing to do with rock but everything about great music.

Keith Jarrett was probably my first love, in terms of jazz; up to then the albums that had really stuck with me were probably Hendrix Band of Gypsies, Johnny Winter Captured Live, Tumbleweed Connection by Elton John, mostly rock, maybe Exodus by Bob Marley.

The first Jarrett album I ever heard was his most famous, The Koln Concert and it blew my head off; an empty stage, a piano, no planned music, just pure improvisation......more importantly music of such incredible beauty, probably the only thing that comes close is In the Garden by Van Morisson...............

It seems impossible to find footage of the actual Koln Concerts, here he is from another beautiful album, Standards 2 with his constant companions Jack DeJohnette and Gary Burton
