Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar Planning to Form a New Band

Former Van Halen members, bassist Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar have just announced that they will get together 'for a new project" with "a couple of good friends"

A couple of years ago Hagar had started something called "Chickenfoot" with Michael Anthony and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith it fizzled out

Michael said on his website: "Sammy and I are working on a new project with a couple of good friends, and it is going to be totally KICKASS!! so stay tuned. Summer is almost here, so get out the suntan lotion, and I'll see you guys out there soon."

Last October he told Billboard "bummed out for a little bit" after not being in the band for the Van Halen Reunion, he was also replaced from album covers on the bands website

"I'm totally fine with it now 'cause it is what it is," Anthony explained. "There's no use dwelling on it or whining about it. The fans know the band. They know what we've done, and I'm really proud of the history of the band."

Lets see if the new project is "Chickenfoot" again, Chad Smith is welcome but please change the name of the band
