Marillion are a prolific British prog rock band who have released a massive 14 studio albums (most of the old ones are now remastered/expanded) since their inception in the late 70's, most comparable, at least in their early incarnation, with the band Genesis.

Their cult following probably compares only with the Grateful Dead, especially via their website, which offers hard core fans an unprecendeted access to live recordings (King Crimson have done the same)

Their 15th album, Happiness is the Road, is a double album will be released in September 2008 in 3 separate formats:

1. The Deluxe Campaign 2CD edition will contain both volumes in one special package

2. The Standard 1CD Edition of Happiness is the Road, Volume 1 will contain Disc 1, Essence, of the double album in a 'normal' jewel box

3. The Standard 1CD Edition of Happiness is the Road, Volume 2 will contain Disc 1, The Hard Shoulder, of the double album in a 'normal' jewel box
