Led Zeppelin- The Ride / Roller Coaster Opening May 8 2008

Well, many of you will know by now that Hard Rock are opening a classic rock theme park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA

I thought someone was pulling my leg when I first heard this, but then it is in the USA (no offense, but you guys are unique)

Apparently Hard Rock are auctioning tickets to be first on the Led Zep roller coaster (what ???), which is set to "Whole Lotta Love"

Winners also get a commemorative photo, park admission and autographed LED ZEPPELIN poster.

Incredibly Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones have contributed to Led Zeppelin - The Ride: it's name, logo and look

It's located in the Park's Rock & Roll Heaven zone. It starts in a massive silver airship, which is designed to make guests feel as if they are stepping onto the cover of LED ZEPPELIN's debut album.

Apart from the Rock and Roll Heaven Zone there is also:

British Invasion

Lost in the 70's
- based on '70s genres of punk, disco and glam
Born in the USA
- celebrates the birthplace and melting-pot of rock
Cool Country
- based on America's Country Music
