The Eels Play Sydney's Enmore April 27 2008

The Eels, fronted by Mark Everett have been providing their ironic and sometimes moving indie statements for over ten years, from their dedut, Beautiful freak to the brilliant Blinking Lights and Other Revelations (2006), my vote for the best contemporary album of that year, which features the likes of Tom Waits, ex-Lovin Spoonful John Sebastian and of course the vocals of Mark Everett''s dog - Bobby Jr. (apparently he has the body of a German Shepard and the legs of a Basset Hound)

This last album was a double concept album, a pretty rare feat, and one that captured one man's journey through the darkest depression to some form of redemption and reconciliation with his past
