Led Zeppelin Here We Come: Yardbirds 'Little Games' 1967 Remastered Release Date April 28 2008

If you had to pick one sigle band that started 70's rock you'd have to pick The Yardbirds, the blues-rock and experimental pop band that started the careers of Jimmy page, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck

They were the first to introduce a host of guitar effects, feedback, distortion, fuzz and even at it's most basic level the inclusion of complicated lead guitar solos

Little Games is their 1967 album, their last and the one where Jimmy page introduces his guitar-bowing technique on 'Glimpses' and 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor'

This album has now been remastered and will be released April 28.

The original album is enhanced by the inclusion of 9 rare singles, other traacks, and a booklet by Chris Welch

"This 1967 release was the group’s last album and features Jimmy Page as lead guitarist recorded under the supervision of pop producer Mickie Most....while some tracks like ‘Ha Ha Said The Clown’ only feature vocalist Keith Relf, there are more satisfying numbers like ‘White Mountain’ with Jimmy on acoustic guitar - hinting at Led Zeppelin waiting in the wings"
