40th Anniversary Celebration of The Zombies Odessey and Oracle

What are the great psychedelic classics of the 1960's ?

Sgt Peppers: The Beatles

The Piper at the Gates of Dawn: Pink Floyd

Are You Experienced: Jimi Hedroix

Pet Sounds: The Beach Boys

Forever Changes: Love

Happy Trails: Quicksilver Messenger Service

Heaven is in Your Mind: Traffic

But what about The Zombies: Odessey and Oracle, not as well known, but highly critically acclaimed for it's baroque arrangements, harmonies and the surprise hit, Time of the Season.

2008 marks the 40th anniversary of this album, one that was recorded in the same studio as Sgt Peppers and one that consistently rates of lists of the top albums of all time

To celebrate, the Zombies (minus Paul Atkinson RIP) will play the entire album on March in London. A double remastered CD will also be released on March 3, in stereo and original mono versions, plus detailed booklet, interview with Rod Argent and six additional tracks

Bonus Tracks:

13. I'll Call You Mine
14. Imagine The Swan
15. Conversation Off Floral Street
16. If It Don't Work Out
17. I Know She Will
18. Don't Cry For Me

I dunno about "Psychedelic" - probably its the opposite of that but the best album for me from this era is "The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society". A superb observation of how Britain probably really was away from the "love-ins" :-)
