Robert Plant: "Best Ever Photos of Led Zeppelin Found"

702 ABC sydney reported today how Ted Harvey has rediscovered precious photos he took of Led Zep during their 1972 visit to Sydney.

Ted Harvey has photographed the who's who of classic rock, including Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Deep Purple and Cat Stevens. He had a walk down the famous red light district, Kings Cross with Robert Plant, with Plant singing away at the top of his lungs.

Absolutely noone has seen these photos to date except Ted and his subjects

“I drove my van around to the back of the stage, parked and walked to the front. I was surprised I seemed to be the only press photographer there.”

The photos were never published due to a dispute with the publisher: the concert at the Sydney Showground was an incredible three hour affair (40,000 attended), and Ted has the only surviving photos of this event.

Robert Plant has stated that these photos were the best of the band.

If you want to see them go to the SH Ervin Gallery, National Trust of Australia, The Rocks, Sydney
